Partio is built to work without an account. Scanning a business card and drafting your messages happen on your device. To research a lead, Partio sends the contact details you provide to our server, which looks up publicly available professional information. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Who we are

Partio ("Partio", "we", "us") provides the Partio iPhone app. Partio is operated by Dogukan Gundogan, based in Munich, Germany. For any privacy question, contact us at dogukanalig@gmail.com. We are the data controller for the processing described here.

Information we process

Lead details you provide

When you scan or type a business card, you provide contact details such as a name, company, job title, email, phone number, website and location. We send these to our server to search public sources for matching professional information.

Enrichment results

The public professional information returned for a lead (for example a LinkedIn profile, company details or similar contacts). These results are cached on our server for up to 24 hours so an identical repeat search does not need to run again.

Device identifier

A random identifier generated on your device and stored in the iOS Keychain. It is not linked to your name or Apple ID, and we use it only to count your free search, apply your search allowance, and remember your purchases.

Purchase information

When you buy a search pack or subscribe, Apple processes the payment. We do not receive your card details. We receive a transaction identifier from Apple that we verify with Apple to confirm the purchase and grant your entitlement, and we record which product you bought and when it expires.

Technical data

Our servers keep standard logs (such as IP address and timestamps) to operate the service securely and reliably.

What stays on your device

Reading the text of a business card (OCR) and generating your outreach drafts both happen on your iPhone using an on-device model. The words you write in a draft are not sent to our servers. Leads you save are stored on your device and removed when you delete them or uninstall the app.

How we use information and our legal bases

• To provide enrichment for the leads you search (performance of our contract with you, and our legitimate interest in operating the service).
• To meter free and paid usage and to process and restore purchases (performance of our contract with you).
• To keep the service secure and prevent abuse (our legitimate interest).

Who we share information with

We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf:

• Search and data-enrichment providers that we query to find public professional information. The contact details you provide for a lead are shared with them to perform the lookup.
• Apple, for payments, subscription management and purchase verification.
• Our hosting provider, which runs our servers.

We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

Researching other people

Partio helps you find publicly available professional information about business contacts. You are responsible for using that information lawfully, including complying with data-protection and anti-spam laws when you reach out to the people you research.

How long we keep information

• Enrichment results are cached on our server for up to 24 hours.
• Your device entitlement and purchase records are kept for as long as needed to honour your purchases and to meet legal and accounting obligations.
• Leads you save live on your device until you remove them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. Because we do not run accounts, please contact us with your device identifier so we can locate any data tied to your device. If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to complain to your data-protection supervisory authority.

International transfers

Some of our providers may process data outside your country, including outside the EEA. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Children

Partio is not directed to children and is not intended for anyone under 16.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we process. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
